The recent history of Paul
Hello! I’ve been stormed, stormed, with requests to update. Well, I’ve been busy!
Three weekends back I had guests - Seanny C and Arjuna. They are living in Santa Barbara for the summer, working for a carpenter. I housed them on their small vacation and showed them some sights, along with Sean G. Sean had never been to San Francisco, and why not take him to the BARS awards while he’s here? That’s right - we were on the red carpet for the Bay Area Rap Scene Awards. It’s a long story… No, it isn’t. We just parked there. Anyhow, after that it was all chinatown, golden gate park, and haight ashbury kinda stuff. The next day I showed them San Jose, which is far less interesting, especially with that stupid Grand Prix going on. We also talked for hours about such intricate things as octopi and shoplifting, but that’s neither here nor there.
Two weekends ago I had a very esteemed guest, Aryeh. He was being sent to LinuxWorld by his company, and asked for a flight a few days earlier so he could visit. We went to the San Francisco zoo, and we were surprised how small the place is. He has been to norcal many times, so we just kind of hung out and enjoyed time together to catch up. He really likes San Francisco, I think he wants to live out here. He, Rachel and I may have played Warcraft 3 as well. I can’t really remember. Will also visited SF again, and Aryeh and I had no choice but to hang with him. I think the highlight of that, aside from hitting the most Irish pub I’ve been to outside Ireland, was the beggar who told us the longest, most disconnected and disturbing story. I admit, I’m the reason we talk with such people in the first place, but wow. That was a long one.
Last weekend I helped my wonderful girlfriend Rachel move in to my apartment. The most interesting part of the move was the cat. I now have a cat at my apartment. His name is Pippin, and no, I had no input on that, and she was unaware of my acting career at that point. The whole ordeal makes me feel very domesticated and mature. I can only hope that feeling fades away!
This weekend I am just up to relaxing, calling around, and settling our things in a little better. I’m also up to blogging, and I may even get to email. You all should be so lucky.
